Resources for Women-Owned Small Businesses

Hi there,

October is National Women's Small Business Month. According to the 2019 State of Women-Owned Business Report, women launch new businesses at a rate that's twice the national average, and businesses owned by women of color grew 43% from 2014-2019.

This month, we're sharing some resources to support women-owned small businesses in an effort to stimulate growth for current entrepreneurs and inspire future female business owners.

Below are some helpful resources:

  • SBA Women-Owned Business Resources - The US Small Business Administration provides business owners with connections to local programs and funding options.
  • National Women's Business Council Webinars - Join NWBC's Webinar Wednesdays to connect to experts and bolster your knowledge and entrepreneurial skills.
  • Local Chapter for Business Owners - Become a member of a National Association of Women Business Owners local chapter and connect with other leaders near you.
  • Grants.gov - Search for federal funding opportunities to help your business grow.
  • Catalyst - This global nonprofit helps build workplaces that work for women. Check out their virtual events, workshops, webinars, and conferences.

Of course, the best way to observe National Women's Small Business Month is to support local women-owned small business in whatever way you can. Here's to the future growth of small businesses!

Thank you,

Daniel Eke
