Revisiting Quarterly Business Goals
Hi there,
It may be hard to believe that 2022 is already halfway over. June marks the end of Q2; have you taken time to revisit your quarterly or annual business goals? This month is a great time to take out those targets you set at the beginning of the year and assess your progress.
If you haven't set any goals in a while, June is the perfect time to do so. Setting major goals now helps guide your business strategy and decision making for the rest of 2022.
Here's some tips on refreshing your business goals:
- Review all quarterly or annual goals you set this year. Did you achieve all your Q1 and Q2 goals? Are you ahead or behind schedule?
- Given your progress this year, determine if your original goals are still attainable.
- Don't be afraid to change or adjust your goals to reflect your company's success or struggles. Realistic goals will help you far more than idealistic goals.
- Build a strategic plan based on each of your targets. How will you reach each goal? What resources do you need? Do you have the necessary funding?
- Keep track of all numbers. Use documentation, to-do lists, meeting notes, and other methods to track your progress. This is how you will determine if your goals are met at the end of the year.
One of the best things you can do as a business owner is set goals for your company. Setting goals help you grow your business, monitor your progress, and keep yourself (and your employees) accountable.
